So this is the final day of an incredible year. For me, it was the year I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of California at Berkeley. This was the culmination of a lifelong dream. I barely graduated from high school back in 1964, and never could have imagined that at the age of 61 I would be marching down the center aisle of the Greek Theater to receive my diploma. It was a life-changing moment for me, and a proud day for my family. Here's a photo of the Cal campanile at sunset.
The Presidential election, faltering economy, and general state of unrest around the world made 2008 a tumultuous and historic year in the annals of history. I'm hopeful that the new year will bring peace and prosperity to all.
